Daily Music - "Abbey Road Ending Medley - The Beatles"

Time for a few classic songs from one of the greatest bands that ever lived. The medley of Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight and The End come from my personal favourite album; 'Abbey Road'. It was the last album they ever produced as a complete band.

PokeNews Weekly Roundup - EX revealed and more awesome stuff

Amazing news this week, but because of the riots I've been a little too lazy to make a video out of it. :P

Mewtwo EX revealed

Recently this brand new card was showcased in japanese mag CoroCoro maganzine. It showed off a few cards from the upcoming Psycho Drive and Hail Blizzard sets. Most important it seems that EX will function almost exactly the same way as ex cards of old, it has high HP, high attack power but if it's knocked out your opponent takes two prizes. Mewtwo EX (pictured right) looks awesome, it's design very reminiscent of the HGSS Prime cards. Also revealed was the promo stadium card 'Battle City' that lets each player draw an additional card per turn as well as a host of new cards from each set (pictured below).

Emerging Powers Pre-release goodness

True to form one of my favourite Gen V Pokemon Gigalith has been promoted to the ranks of Pre-release promo. This as well as a deckbox (both pictured below) featuring pokemon from the Emerging Powers booster pack art will be given away to anyone attending an Emerging Powers pre-release event around August 20th or 27th. This is definitely something I want to get my hands on.

More awesome Pokemon merchandise

The merchandising never ends. Nintendo will be releasing starter figure boxes featuring Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott (pictured below). Each box includes a starter promo card which are holographic versions of the starters from the Black and White set, three Emerging Powers booster packs, an online TCG code, and a jumbo 3D card featuring a starter and it's evolutions, as well as a space in it's name maked _______'s Snivy, _______'s Tepig, or _______'s Oshawott so that you may write your own name if you choose to. These will also include the same figures from the Black and White preview tins but I'm not complaining. No release date confirmed as yet but I'm guessing mid to late september.

Also, roll on september! Ultra-pro are releasing a Black and White themed playmat (pictured below) featuring Zekrom and Reshiram. It will be available for $17.99 at hobby shops and the like. I for one am very excited to see the return of an offical Pokemon Playmat, hopefully there are more to come. Looks like my wallets going to be empty by Christmas.

So that was all the news this week. I leave you then with an image of "Ecoha-chan," the official mascot for the city of Ube in Japan's Yamaguchi prefecture. Lawsuits are bound to follow...

Daily Music - "Goodnight - The Beatles"

Almost forgot to post a song today. I'll be uploading new videos soon. My time is split between work and watching news coverage on the riots at the moment. Time to sleep.

Daily Music - "Break My Stride - Matthew Wilder"

So the whole army thing was a rumor. All our boys are overseas so it's impossible for them to police the streets. I'm preparing for a long night ahead. Will I let it get me down...? Nah.

Oh and this video includes characters from Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. Enjoy. :D

Daily Music - "Oliver's Army - Elvis Costello"

So there are riots in both London and it's second city, Birmingham, which I live near. Massive gangs of youths breaking into stores and stealing stuff. This is why we need an armed police force. Now I hear the army has been called in. Just great. :(

TCBM - TheCheeseMaster98

Whoops. Looks like I'm a little late to post this video.

Daily Music - "Standin In The Rain - ELO"

Now I know I posted an ELO song just the other day but I'm listening to the rain falling on my roof from my attic bedroom so I think the following is appropriate. Also my favourite ELO song.

Daily Music - "She's Got Me Dancing - Tommy Sparks"

In a good mood? No? Well take a listen to Tommy Sparks and get in the party mood. :D

[Feature] Daily Music - "Sweet Talking Woman - ELO"

Ok so I don't post much, that much is clear. I figured other than pokemon I have quite a few other loves. One of the biggest parts of my life is music. So in order to increase my posting quota and give you guys something a little interesting to read, (well lets say listen to) I've decided to post a song from Youtube here every day or at least as often as I can. Don't expect the likes of anything modern like Lady Gaga or anything like that. My tastes are a little older than most people my age, they're rather unique too.

First up then is my favourite band; The Electric Light Orchestra with Sweet Talking Woman. Open up your ears and feel the love...

Peace. :D

Worldwide Nintendo 3DS Price Drop Confirmed for August

While this is exactly PokeNews it's certainly related. The price of the the 3DS will drop by around $100 worldwide starting from the 11th August. If you bought your 3DS at the launch price fear not, Nintendo has launched the ambassador program just for you lucky few, which will entitle early buyers to 20 free downloadable eShop games by the end of 2011. Here's the official press release from Ninendo.com;

"Since Nintendo 3DS launched in the United States on March 27, more than 830,000 people in the U.S. alone have purchased one to enjoy 3D visuals without the need for special glasses. These Nintendo 3DS owners represent some of Nintendo's most loyal customers, and Nintendo is rewarding them for getting in on the action early with 20 free downloadable games from the Nintendo eShop.

These free games are available to anyone who owns a Nintendo 3DS system and uses a wireless broadband Internet signal to connect to the Nintendo eShop at least once before 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Aug. 11. These users will automatically be registered in the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program. The program contains two elements:

Starting Sept. 1, Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors will be able to download 10 NES™ Virtual Console™ games at no charge and before they are available in the Nintendo eShop to the general public. These games, including Super Mario Bros.™, Donkey Kong Jr.™, Balloon Fight™, Ice Climber™ and The Legend of Zelda™, are slated to become paid downloadable games, but Ambassadors get them early for free. Once the paid versions of the games are posted to the Nintendo eShop later in the year, the updated versions will be available to Ambassadors for download at no cost.

By the end of 2011, Nintendo will provide Ambassadors with 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games. These include games like Yoshi's Island™: Super Mario™ Advance 3, Mario Kart™: Super Circuit, Metroid™ Fusion, WarioWare™, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong™. These games will be available exclusively to Ambassadors, and Nintendo currently has no plans to make these 10 games available to the general public on the Nintendo 3DS in the future."
